For Republic of Armenia, Shakro Molodoy is persona grata, and Jean Baptist Ozkirisyan – persona non grata
12:23, February 2, 2016 | News, Own news | J. B. Ozkirisyan (Shant Voskerchyan)On January 5, 2016, armlur.am news website issued a media report entitled “Kingpin Shakro Molodoy Arrived in Armenia; Who Met Him?” mentioning that he was met by the RA RPA members, NA deputy Samvel Alexanyan and NA deputy Ruben Hayrapetyan, Chairman of the RA Football Federation.
In its letter to the RA National Security Service dated January 12, 2016, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor requested information on the reasons underlying the free entry of kingpin Shakro Molodoy in the Republic of Armenia and the entry ban imposed on Jean Baptist Ozkirisyan (Shant Voskerchyan) based on considering him persona non grata.
In its response letter of January 25, 2016, the RA National Security Service stated that foreigners were denied entry in the RA if there were any grounds for doing so under Article 8, RA Law on Foreigners.
At the same time, the letter read that the answers as to questions on the entry ban imposed on Jean Baptist Ozkirisyan had already been provided.
Hence, the RA National Security Service considers kingpin Shakro Molodoy persona grata for the Republic of Armenia and Jean Baptist Ozkirisyan, Coordinator of Armenian Revival Organization Office in Paris and Founding Parliament member, persona non grata.
Note that in response to the Organization’s inquiries, the RA NSS first stated that Jean Baptist Ozkirisyan (Shant Voskerchyan) was denied entry into the RA on the grounds that his data were found in the databank of persona non grata in the Republic of Armenia and then informed that the entry ban was imposed on him indefinitely and might be lifted if the circumstances underlying his entry ban were eliminated, without providing such circumstances.
