Court hearing on HCAV v. Staff of RA President’s Office adjourned
15:45, February 24, 2016 | News, Own news | Freedom of Information and SpeechOn February 23, 2016, the RA Administrative Court, presided by A. Avagyan, held another pre-trial hearing under the claim of HCA Vanadzor v. V. Sargsyan, Head of Staff of RA President’s Office. Note that the previous pre-trial court hearing was adjourned to submit to the Court some evidence.
The court hearing was attended by plaintiff’s representative Ani Chatinyan, HCA Vanadzor lawyer, who was involved in this case as representative of the Organization based on the power of attorney submitted to the Court.
A. Chatinyan did not object to holding the court hearing in the absence of the defendant and submitted to the Court extracts from publications by various mass media, where on specific cases of weapon awards, the names and surnames of relevant persons were also published. A. Chatinyan noted that such publications came to show that the disclosure of the persons awarded weapons was not considered a violation of their right to privacy.
Given the absence of any need to obtain other evidence by its own initiative, the Court considered the case to be ready for trial examination.
As for the date and time of the trial examination, the parties will be notified of it by a relevant ruling.
