HCA Vanadzor took on protection of the rights of Hovhannes Petrosyan who died of a gunshot wound in his head on April 25 at the RA MoD military unit in Ijevan.
Under the criminal proceedings initiated on the case, the interests of Hovhannes Petrosyan’s successor are protected by Artur Sakunts, Chairman of HCA Vanadzor, and Ani Chatinyan, lawyer at the Organization. They took part in the investigative actions within the criminal proceedings. The representatives of the victim’s successor also filed motions on taking certain investigative actions, but the investigating body has not decided on them yet.
On October 10, 2016, a few days after face-to-face identification with Vachagan Petrosyan, dead serviceman’s father and victim’s successor, Vachagan Hayrapetyan, a key witness involved in the case, who was Hovhannes Petrosyan’s direct commander, died in an accident.
