Training on Human Rights and Freedoms as Fundamental Values and Prohibition of Discrimination at the newly-opened community-based nursing home in Spitak
20:39, July 8, 2016On June 30, 2016, the newly-opened community-based nursing home in Spitak hosted a training on Human Rights and Freedoms as Fundamental Values and Prohibition of Discrimination.
The training was intended for 10 persons with socio-psychological disabilities. It was attended by the residents and the staff of the community-based nursing home in Spitak and persons with socio-psychological disabilities receiving outpatient treatment.
At the training, Anahit Chilingaryan, representative of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor, presented the impact of stereotypes on the exercise and protection of human rights, the prohibition of discrimination as a fundamental principle of human rights promoting the capacity development of a person to protect his/her rights.
The training was conducted by the Coalition for Promoting Equality and Non-Discrimination in Armenia, with the financial support of the Open Society Foundations-Armenia.
