Artur Sakunts “RF is a country of “toilet bowl level” mentality”

“Customs Union document is comprised of three pages, which reads that RF, Belorussia and Kazakhstan form a union. There is no single word as to what its purpose and value system are”, Artur Sakunts, Chairman of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor, expressed such an opinion over the Customs Union at today’s discussion on “Encroachment against Universal Values and Human Rights Defenders in Armenia” organized by “Partnership for Open Society”.
By his words, “Kazakhstan used its official armed forces against civilians merely that people had come out to stage their protest for their salaries. RF is a country of “toilet bowl level” mentality doesn’t refrain from mass obliteration of its country citizens in the South Caucasus under the pretext of anti-terrorist operations. The so-called Customs Union is a club of authoritarian dictatorships. It is a level in the hand of Putin for his personal ambitions aimed to reestablish the former Soviet Union. This is the main concept.”
As to the UN Association Agreement, Artur Sakunts finds that human rights, democracy, energy resources, improvement of business sector constitute is, besides, it is the value system which underlies our Constitution. “It included economic components, which ensure development opportunities. We would get the opportunity to resolve the existing issues and expand.
The crime implemented against the RA residents at the state level, the tolerance towards human rights violations by the state authorities has entailed the current situation. The NGOs cannot and are unable to tackle this problem alone. They don’t consider the human right defenders that is why they raise alerts. We must achieve to the point that Serzh Sargsyan’s dictatorship halts, whether it is done via protest actions or strikes… Such an issue cannot but be resolved through a public discussion.
