Examination of the claim against Law on 1000 AMD is over; judgment is to be announced on October 27

Today, on October 13, 2017 the General Jurisdiction Court of Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts of Yerevan resumed examination of the claim filed by HCA Vanadzor staff members against the payments set out in the RA Law on Compensation for Damages Caused to Life or Health of Servicemen while Protecting RA.
The court examined and rejected the motion filed by Ani Chatinyan, lawyer at HCA Vanadzor, at the previous hearing to discontinue the proceedings and apply to the RA Constitutional Court. The Court supported its rejection by the fact that the plaintiffs were not deprived of the opportunity to apply to the Constitutional Court.
It should be noted that before, HCA Vanadzor applied to the RA Human Rights Defender on disputing the constitutionality of Article 10 of the Law prescribing the mandatory nature of the stamp payment, but the latter refused to apply to the Constitutional Court.
After considering the motion, the Court passed to the trial examination, examined the documents of the case and scheduled announcement of its ruling for October 27, 2017, 5:05 pm.
