On December 7, 2012, HCA Vanadzor organized a meeting with the students of school N 27 in Vanadzor, which was devoted to Human Rights Day. School N 27 is in the community of Taron 4, where HCA Vanadzor intends to establish a Human Rights Park.
About 40 students were present at the presentation and discussion. During the event, Julia Weiss and Georg Leitner, the EVS volunteers of HCA Vanadzor presented the students with the history, concept and sources of Human Rights, main conventions and their content, namely of the United Nations and European Convention of Human Rights.
They were also familiarized with the goal of Human Rights Park and its importance, the recent developments regarding the establishment of the Human Rights Park, in particular, the design of the park and further actions.
Apart from this, a painting competition “Logo for the Human Rights Park” was announced. The students were provided with necessary materials to draw a logo and present their works for selection.
