Police Shows Arbitrary Attitude
11:56, October 9, 2015 | News, Own news | PoliceAs we have already informed, following the HCA Vanadzor crime report of July 2, 2015 and relevant mass media publications, the RA Special Investigation Service initiated criminal proceedings under Article 309(2), Article 164(2) and Article 185(1) of the RA Criminal Code. Within the criminal proceedings, the Organization motioned to assign an expert examination to find out whether any of the police officers who used violence against the protesters in the morning of June 23, 2015 had taken any drugs. The investigating agency rejected the motion for being baseless. Upon appeal, the supervising prosecutor rejected the motion, as well. On September 4, 2015, the HCA Vanadzor applied to the RA Minister of Health (MoH) Republican Narcological Center to get information on how many of the 106 persons brought to the Center had any drugs and psychotropic substances discovered by the expert examination. In its response, the Center stated that according to the expert examination, 3 persons had used drugs. In fact, by considering the assumption that the police officers might have used some drugs baseless, the police show an arbitrary attitude.
