llegal activities of the deputy head of penitentiary: A criminal case
A criminal case has been opened against the deputy head of “Hrazdan” penitentiary in RA Special Investigation Services. Senior investigator for cases of special importance of RA SIS G.V. Begoyan has made a decision according to a criminal case against abuse of official privileges based on characteristics of criminal activity defined by Part 1 of Article 308 of the Criminal Code of RA.

The RA Court of Appeals will try the claim of “the acquitted over Mataghis case” versus Gagik Jhangiryan
On January 15, 2013 a claim against Gagik Jhangiryan was submitted to the Court of Common Jurisdiction of Arabkir and Qanaqer-Zeytun Administrative Districts of Yerevan by A. Zalyan, M. Serobyan and R. Sargsyan regarding compensation for the damage caused to their prestige, dignity and business reputation and obliging the latter to make a public apology.

The trial of the scandalous murder of a member of the Chamber of Advocates, Yerevan resident Samvel Sharbatyan got underway at the Lori Region Court of Common Jurisdiction today. The court hearing was overcrowded with many of the spectators standing. It worth noting that advocate Sharbatyan was killed on November 18, 2012 at “Mush” restaurant of Shahumyan village, Lori region.

Although the movements and NGOs carrying out public activities and protecting the rights of different public groups, minorities and women publicly and legally implement their activities, various measures of violence have been exerted in relation to these groups several years in a row, including beatings, public threats, slander, insults, arsons and etc., which is actually intimidation.
Stop Acts of Intimidation against the RA Citizens
Starting from July, 2013 various actions of protest undertaken by civil initiatives and civil activists against the illegal decisions reached by different authorities were accompanied by acts of violence, beatings, illegal apprehensions, criminal prosecutions exerted by law-enforcers against citizens.

We declare that the full responsibility for this act of intimidation falls on the authorities of Armenia, particularly the law enforcement bodies. If this crime is not solved as soon as possible, it will allow us to declare that this act of violence is directly sponsored by the Armenian authorities.
Statement regarding threats against Women’s Resource Center
The inactivity of the authorities over elimination of discrimination is covered up by creating a fake public demand via misinformation, the goal of which is to establish legislative and practical grounds for displaying discrimination failing to realize the dangerousness of the results of such a conduct both for the society and for the state.
Are health causes an excuse for discharging?
Human rights defender Artur Sakunts, who served as the victim’s successor over two cases of Dimaksyan and Varyan doesn’t recall one single case, when the court trial was put off because of the Judge’s health related issues.
