The Police provided the badges of not all the subdivisions of the Police to HCA Vanadzor
12:05, December 9, 2017 | News, Own news | Freedom of Information and Speech | PoliceToday, on December 8, 2017, the hearing of HCA Vanadzor’s claim against the RA Police commenced at the RA Administrative Court.
With the claim submitted to the Court, HCA Vanadzor demands to provide information on the number of the RA Police employees, including per structural subdivisions, and their functions.
In response to HCA Vanadzor’s inquiry for the aforementioned information, on September 23, 2017 Head of the RA Police Legal Department A. Sargsyan provided information only on the badges of the Police, considering the rest to be a state secret.
Today the representative of the Police informed that the information provided on that part of the inquiry is not complete either; the Organization was provided only with the badges of part of the RA Police subdivisions.
Having presented the grounds and subject of the claim, HCA Vanadzor lawyer S. Soghomonyan, submitted a motion to change the subject of the claim and file a claim in regard to the badges of all the subdivisions.
The Court rejected the motion, justifying the decision by stating that the inquiry required information on the badges of specific subdivisions, not all of them; consequently, the RA Police could have misperceived the demand in regard to all the subdivisions.
Thus, the preliminary hearing ended. The trial was scheduled for February 9, 2018.
