The Resolution to File a Case was appealed
00:00, February 9, 2011 | Press Release | Right to Respect for Private and Family Life | Prevention of CorruptionOn February 2, 2011, the RA Lori Region Prosecutor’s Office reached a resolution to reject filing a criminal case against an investigator from the Investigation Department of Lori Region for exceeding his official authorizations.
Lori region Prosecutor’s office, implementing the resolution taken by the Lori Region Court of General Jurisdiction, and has refused to file a criminal case based on a lack of evidence of a crime.
It should be noted that on August 29, 2009 the organization presented a claim to the RA Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the illegal search of a citizen’s house by an investigator without a court decision. The RA Prosecutor General’s office, the claim to the Lori region Prosecutor’s Office to which they responded with a petition.
In 2009, the organization submitted a claim to the RA Lori Region Court of General Jurisdiction with a request to the Lori Region Prosecutor’s Office to reach a resolution on the submitted petition regarding exceeding the investigator’s official authorizations and to provide a copy of the resolution to the organization.
For the past 2 years Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor Office has turned to every court of first instance as a result the Prosecutor’s office reaching the resolution.
On February of 2011 HCA Vanadzor Office filed an appeal regarding the resolution of Lori Region Prosecutor’s office to RA Prosecutor General’s office.
