Right to protection of personal data is violated

After the seizure of the RA Police patrol-guard service regiment premises with all its ammunition by ‘Sasna Tsrer’ group on July 17, 2016, the RA Police presented some of the group members also as “persons inclined to using drugs”. The other mass media also disseminated the same information and used the term “drug addict”.

Complaint lodged to the European Court of Human Rights on the case of the Khudoyans forcibly removed from the area in front of the presidential palace

HCA Vanadzor lodged a complaint to the European Court of Human Rights on the case of Ashot Khudoyan and Heghine Makaryan, protesting spouses forcibly removed  by a group of plain-clothes police officers from the area in front of the RA Presidential Palace due to the official visit of the Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin to the Republic of Armenia on December 2, 2013.

Electric Yerevan member Davit Selimyan’s case appealed to European Court of Human Rights

On December 23, 2015, Davit Selimyan’s case was appealed to the European Court of Human Rights. Note that back on June 23, 2015, he was violently apprehended from the electricity price hike protest venue to a police station and unlawfully kept there in violation of the rights under the ECHR articles below: Article 3 (Prohibition of torture), Article 5 (Right to liberty and security), Article 8 (Right to respect for private and family life), Article 10 (Freedom of expression), Article 11 (Freedom of assembly and association), Article 13 (Right to an effective remedy), and Article 14 (Prohibition of discrimination).

The RA Court of Appeals will try the claim of “the acquitted over Mataghis case” versus Gagik Jhangiryan

On January 15, 2013 a claim against Gagik Jhangiryan was submitted to the Court of Common Jurisdiction of Arabkir and Qanaqer-Zeytun Administrative Districts of Yerevan by A. Zalyan, M. Serobyan and R. Sargsyan regarding compensation for the damage caused to their prestige, dignity and business reputation and obliging the latter to make a public apology.
