HCA Vanadzor has joined the information campaign organized within the framework of the International Day against Fascism and Antisemitism
15:15, November 9, 2017 | News, Own newsOn the initiative of UNITED, the European Network against nationalism, racism, fascism and in support of migrants, refugees and minorities, since 1992 November 9th has been marked as the International Day against Fascism and Antisemitism.
On this day in 1938, the discriminatory treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany reached its culmination. The Nazis started the massacre of Jews, destroyed Jewish homes, shops and synagogues and imprisoned, wounded and murdered Jews all over the country.
November 9th is marked as the day of commemorating the victims of the massacres of Jews and all the people who ever fell victim to fascism throughout history and as the day of raising awareness on the perils of nationalism, populism, extremism and neo-fascism.
UNITED, the European Network against nationalism, racism, fascism and in support of migrants, refugees and minorities, runs thematic information campaigns on a yearly basis. Within the framework of this year’s information campaign, Eva Jašková, EVS volunteer at HCA Vanadzor Office, was among the participants in the poster competition Never Again. The poster created by her is placed in the gallery of the competition.
The winning posters will be used within the framework of the upcoming year’s information campaign of the International Day against Fascism and Antisemitism.
