As of 7.00 pm, 233 protesters were detained and taken to the divisions of the RA Police.
At the moment, the acts of blocking streets are mostly over, and only several streets remain blocked.

The protest actions continue in Yerevan and other parts of Armenia. Streets in Yerevan and other roads in Armenia remain blocked.
The RA Police again called to “follow the exhortations of the RA Police and cease the unlawful acts.”

The RA Police announced that the persons in civilian clothing carrying out the detention of citizens are police officers, and that the police bear the entire responsibility for their actions.
Later, the RA Police announced that the acts of blocking streets in cars are particularly dangerous. Nikol Pashinyan called to carry out these acts at the rally yesterday evening.
The RA Police statement mentions that the Police will have to use proportionate legal measures of impact as established by the law with the aim of preventing such offenses.

Ashot Pashinyan, the son of the leader of the movement Nikol Pashinyan, was also detained in the morning. He has also been released.

Protesters alert that they are detained by persons in civilian clothing as well, who are most likely police officers.
Police officers tried to also detain Tirayr Muradyan, the journalist who was beaten up by persons in civilian clothing yesterday. He was explaining for a long time that he is a journalist and was showing his badge, but the police officers were adamant.
We received information, according to which he was later returned to the place of the assembly, where he had been detained.
Davit Sanasaryan, who was detained in the morning, has already been released.

This morning, April 20, a number of protesters were detained, including Davit Sanasaryan, one of the leaders of the movement.
At night, Tigran Mazmanyan, who was arrested for entering the building of the Armenian Public Radio, was taken into custody.
The RA Police reported to “Azatutyun” (Freedom) Radio Station that 37 protesters were detained as of 10.30 Yerevan time.
