The protest actions continue in Yerevan and other localities in Armenia.
Persons in civilian clothing are trying to hinder the marches of the protesters heading from other localities towards Yerevan. Representatives of the ruling party have also made attempts at hindering the actions of protesters in different parts of Yerevan.
As of 5.00 pm, there are 102 detained persons.
The rally at the Republic Square in Yerevan is scheduled for 7.00 pm.

The protest actions continue in Yerevan and other towns of Armenia.
Persons in civilian clothing attacked and beat up the journalist of “Azatutyun” (Freedom) Radio Station.
A protest march is going on in Vanadzor as well.
Armen Grigoryan, one of the coordinators of the “Reject Serzh” initiative was detained in Yerevan.
As of 3.30 pm, the number of detained persons reached 70.

Protesters continue the march along the streets of Yerevan.
A number of streets are blocked by cars.
The RA Police report that 43 persons were detained as of 1.00 pm.
The RA Police announced the decision on dispersing the assembly. The statement indicates that “in the case of not ceasing the assembly within a reasonable period of time, the police are going to disperse it in accordance with the procedure prescribed.

Today, on April 21, in contrast to the actions of the previous days, the protest actions by Nikol Pashinyan and his supporters started at 11.00 am.
The Police have already concentrated massive forces in the predetermined location and are hindering their march.
A number of protesters have been detained.
The exact number of detainees is unknown.
The Police claim that they were not informed of the assembly. March leader Nikol Pashinyan mentioned that the initially planned assembly was ceased and immediately announced about the holding of an urgent rally aimed at responding to the attacks on the activists that took place at night. He informed the territorial police division of this in a phone call.
In another part of Yerevan, citizens were holding a car rally. The Police attempted to hinder this rally as well.
The RA Police announced that they are “not going to tolerate the unlawful behavior of the organizers of the illegal assembly and the people guided by them”, and that the assembly was to be “immediately prevented and disrupted through any proportionate measures, including through use of physical force and special measures.”
The RA Police report that, as of 9.00 pm on April 20, the 233 detained protesters were released.
