Drafts of Legal Acts
One of the primary goals of advocacy is legislative amendments.
Taking into account the fact that legislative imperfection, regulating this field and incongruity with international norms creates numerous issues in the society, HCA Vanadzor has undertaken activities directed at solution of issues identified as a result of its activities on human rights, particularly, legal consultations and monitoring through legislative amendments.
The aforementioned activity foresees:
- · Draft projects targeted at making amendments and supplements to legal acts
- · Influence the representatives of executive and legislative powers to have them prioritize and adequately address to the necessity of refining the legislation and adjusting domestic legislation with international standards as well as undertaking measures in regard to that.
On of the accomplishments of HCA Vanadzor in the field of advocacy is the formation of a working group by the initiative of RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the purpose of adopting the draft-law “on Missing Persons”.

The Government Responded Positively to Making Supplement and Amendment to the RA law “On Psychiatric Aid”

The RA Government and Legal Department of RA National Assembly, by conducting a professional examination of the legislative recommendation drafted by the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly- Vanadzor, reached a positive response.
