Peace building
[show-menu menu=”peace-en”]
Since its establishment HCA Vanadzor has been actively enrolled in various activities in the field of peacebuilding, accentuating the principle that peaceful resolution of conflicts cannot have an alternative. The organization has always aimed to carry out activities directed at the peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict by involving the conflict victims and representatives of conflicting societies.
There still exist a series of problems related to victims of the conflict, such as missing persons and their families, former prisoners of war and their families, refugees, and internally displaced people, the solutions of which have not been found yet, and which are to be included in the activities of peace-building, also including the issue of development of cooperation and mutual trust between the representatives of societies in conflict.
A number of issues related to the conflict victims, including missing persons and their families, former prisoners of war and their families, refugees, and internally displaced people remain unresolved on the agenda of peace-building activities, as well as the issue of developing cooperation and mutual trust between the representatives of conflicting societies. Development of civil control over the armed forces and increase of its efficiency, growth in accountability of defense departments and promotion of transparency constitute the main components of peacebuilding activities implemented by HCA Vanadzor.
