HCA Vanadzor held training for trainers of the observers representing ‘Independent Observer’ Public Alliance
11:46, February 15, 2017 | News, Own news | Electoral RightsOn February 9-12, 2017, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor held training for trainers of the observers representing ‘Independent Observer’ Public Alliance under the ‘Capacity Building of Local Observation Missions’ Component of ‘Long-term Electoral Assistance to the Election Related Stakeholders of Armenia’ Project of the Council of Europe and European Union. The trainers enriched their knowledge on changes in the electoral legislation and gained skills on holding observation trainings. Also the participants had a discussion on electoral frauds and disputes with Martik Martirosyan, representative of the quick response department of the RA Human Rights Defender’s Office.
On the last day of the training, the participants observed the local government elections in Semyonovka village, where the new system of electronic registration of voters was tested. Their relevant observations are reflected in the joint statement of ‘Independent Observer’ Alliance.
