A criminal case proceeding started regarding false attested witnesses

On September 27, 2014, HCA Vanadzor sent an inquiry to the RA General Prosecutor G. Kostanyan about the violation of Vanadzor resident P.T.’s rights. There was a request in the inquiry to dismiss RA Special Investigations Services investigator of cases of special importance A. Minasyan’s decision about dismissal of the case and require starting a criminal case proceeding.
RA SIS investigator of cases of special importance A. Minasyan had rejected the inquiry of the organization about starting a criminal case regarding investigation activities with participation of false and hired witnesses.
As a response to the organization’s letter, RA General Prosecutor’s office sent a letter on November 23, informing that the Organization’s appeal was satisfied and a criminal case proceeding started based on Part 1 of Article 314 of RA Criminal Code, i.e. inclusion of obvious false information or forgery, change of number or any other changes as well as making or presenting false official documents by a public official for personal or group interest or other personal motives.
