ARE FLYERS THAT DANGEROUS?
00:00, November 14, 2007 | Electoral Rights”The flyers of the November 16 rally keep disappearing from the facades of Vanadzor buildings. Moreover, Alternative Initiative members are subjected to everyday pressure while pasting up posters,” the head of Vanadzor-based office of Alternative Initiative Karen Sargsian told A1+.
According to Mr Sargsian, flyers are torn up by order of “pro-government forces and Republicans.”
“I fear an unexpected clash any moment. The situation is rather tense in the city. Even now I have a strange feeling of some misfortune as the other day our boys were stopped and threatened in the daytime. I was also warned to quieten down. But they cannot silence me. I don’t fear them,” Karen Sargsian said.
We have fixed posters mainly in the suburbs, in implicit places. Therefore they don’t tear them off, the head of Vanadzor-based HHSh Office Ashot Manukian told A1+.
Presently our main concern is to get to the capital on November 16. Drivers have been ordered to avoid meeting us. An atmosphere of fear reigns throughout the city. We attended the previous meeting on our own, said Ashot Manukian.
