Cinema and Society
00:00, March 11, 2011 | Press ReleaseOn March 2011, training on “Cinema and Society” was held in the Lori Regional Administration Hall within the frames of 9th British Film Festival.
The training aimed to inform the participants how to use press for the provision of a bigger audience. The training was conducted by broadcasting, communications and events expert Sarah Ross.
She has worked with a range of organizations including Channel 4, BBC, Amnesty International and the Channel 4 BRITDOC Foundation. Representatives of Vanadzor NGOs, Mass Media, Lori Region Administration Council, Vanadzor Municipality, students and pupils participated in the training. Sarah Ross mentioned that films are the most effective means reflecting our reality and challenge the past, present and future.
Documentary films cause people consider encountered issues and can bring to a change. During the training, the participants were shown several films, which were targeted at a change and had reached a success. After the featuring of the films, the participants expressed their opinions regarding them.
