The Mayor’s Resolution is Disputed
00:00, February 16, 2011 | News | Right to Fair Trial | Local DemocracyOn February 16 of 2011, a preliminary court hearing regarding Karine Ayvazyan against Vanadzor mayor will be tried at RA Lori Region Administrative Court.
The plaintiff party claimed to abrogate # 933 resolution taken by the Mayor in 2003, to sell Ruben Hovhannisyan # 44 and # 43 land properties located at Chemical factory temporary shelter area in an auction, specifically, temporary dwellings at Spandaryan 1-3-13 address.
Plaintiff party Edmon Marukyan, Karine Ayvazyan’s representative and responding party A. Avagyan, Mayor’s representative, participated in the court hearing, presided by Judge A. Alaverdyan.
Ruben Hovhannisyan, who had purchased the area, did not attend the trial though he had been properly notified about the date and the time of it. During the preliminary court trial, the 2 parties will come up with explanations and solicitations.
The plaintiff party representative E. Marukyan submitted a solicitation to invite auction participants Ruben Hovhannisyan and Rudolf Poghosyan to the next court session as witnesses to clarify the validity of the auction. The Judge satisfied the solicitation.
Responding party A. Avagyan, the Mayor’s representative, submitted a solicitation to call off the trial in order to obtain necessary proofs from “Lori TV” agency regarding the dissemination of the auction announcements.
The Judge satisfied the solicitation. The trial was postponed. Information on the date and time of the next trial will be additionally disseminated.
Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor has taken up the protection of citizens’ rights residing in temporary dwellings, who suffered from the resolutions taken by the Vanadzor Mayor and Avagani members.
