The Fight against Fascism
This year’s International Day against Fascism and Antisemitsm is once more taking place on November 9th, commemorating the “Kristallnacht” pogrom of 1938, which marked the beginning of the world’s largest genocide, later known as the Holocaust. It was on November 9th, 1938 that the fascist Nazi Party initiated the systematic eradication of Jewish people by destroying their homes and belongings as well as setting synagogues on fire, injuring and killing many Jews in the process.
RA Legislative Regulations on Recognizing an Adult Legally Incapable and Appointing a Guardian
Persons with mental health problems can be recognized legally incapable as prescribed by the RA law and consequently be deprived of the opportunity to enjoy their rights fully and properly, make decisions and act independently on both important issues and daily trivial matters as well as are absolved from the responsibility for their actions.
Protection of Public Interest in the RA
With the support of the Latham and Watkins law firm, the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor conducted a survey into the state of public interest protection in the Republic of Armenia within the PILnet: The Global Network for Public Interest Law program.

On February 25, 2012 the National Assembly adopted the draft laws on making supplements to the RA law on “Psychiatric Care” and on “Advocacy” by the first reading.
