Immediately terminate the unlawful criminal prosecution, release Ukrainian citizen, well-known blogger Bogdan Kaliusskyi and ensure his security
We request that the RA authorities refrain from the intention to extradite Ukrainian citizen Bogdan Kaliusskyi to the Russian Federation, immediately terminate the unlawful criminal prosecution against him and allow his free exit from the territory of the RA and entry into a third country.

Statement on Non-fulfillment by the RA Government of its Commitment to Make Legislative Changes in Human Rights
The Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor views the RA Government’s reasoning for not adopting the draft Law on the procedure for initiating criminal cases on slur as the RA Government’s refusal to fulfill its legal and constitutional commitment, violating the principle of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms and independence of the judiciary.
Today, on the Human Rights Day, various people from Vanadzor signaled HCA Vanadzor that police officers summoned them for various invented pretexts and in many cases even apprehended them to police stations, urging them to refrain from attending and taking part in the Human Rights Day march in Yerevan.
On September 21, 1991, the centuries-long dream of the Armenian people came true and today we already have a 25-year-old statehood.
By re-establishing its statehood, the Armenian people gained the right to talk to the civilized world on equal terms and determine independently its own way to improve its statehood.
Regrettably, the Republic of Armenia, represented by the RA authorities, could not apply that right with dignity and present itself to the international community as a state with an independent and sustainable statehood.

Mikayel Danielyan, a well-known human rights activist and the Founder and Chairman of Helsinki Association of Armenia, passed away untimely.
Yesterday, on August 7, our friend Medialab held an open-air live exhibition of its political cartoons at Mahstots Park in Yerevan. While it was initially planned to have a week-long exhibition in a closed space, the appointment was cancelled by the host and Medialab was unable to rent any other place in the City of Yerevan because the owners feared repercussions for hosting the event. In solidarity with Medialab, the attendees of the open-air exhibition also wore the exhibits on them.
