On May 16, 2016, the RA Court of Criminal Appeals examined the appeal filed against the ruling of the General Jurisdiction Court of First Instance of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan city, RA dated March 31, 2016 on dismissing the complaint of Artur Sakunts, Chairman of HCA Vanadzor.

Serzh Sargsyan and Aram Sargsyan will not be questioned under case of October 27

As reported before, by its letter of February 9, 2016 submitted to the RA Prosecutor General’s Office, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor required that the Prosecutor General’s Office gave a legal assessment to the statement of Aram Z. Sargyan, leader of Hanrapetutyun Party, published on 1-in.am news website, according to which RA President Serzh Sargsyan possessed valuable information on the incidents of October 27, 1999. In particular, the Organization required to question Serzh Sargsyan and Aram Sargsyan.

Examination of HCA Vanadzor complaint against RA Special Investigation Service completed

On March 9, 2016, the General Jurisdiction Court of First Instance of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts of Yerevan, RA, presided by R. Mkhitaryan, resumed examination of HCA Vanadzor complaint against the RA Special Investigation Service. Note that by the complaint above, Artur Sakunts, Chairman of HCA Vanadzor, demanded to stop the inaction of the RA Special Investigation Service and compel it to make a decision on the Organization’s report of December 10, 2015 and submit it to the Organization.

On January 11, 2016, www.1in.am website published the interview of Aram Sargsyan /patronymic: Zaven/, leader of Hanrapetutyun Party, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia where he particularly noted, “….I wished to understand where the causes of blood shed on October 27 came from, from the outside or inside? As Serzh Sargsyan confessed to me that it was all organized and that one day he would tell me who organized it all, let him say, I’m waiting for his answer.”

Preliminary Court Hearing on HCAV v RA Prosecutor General’s Office

Response to Crime Report Delayed for 3 Months On December 14, 2015, the RA Administrative Court, presided by judge A. Tovmasyan, held a preliminary court hearing on HCA Vanadzor v RA Prosecutor General’s Office within the examination of the claim on obliging the Prosecutor General’s Office to provide the information requested by the Organization’s inquiry of July 16, 2015 on the procedural decrees issued by the RA Special Investigation Service in 2013-2014 following the investigation of the crimes under Article 119, Article 309(2) and (3) and Article 341 of the RA Criminal Code.
