“In return for the service rendered by Ruben Sahakyan, the defense attorney of Tigran, the son of former Syunik region Governor, he should have been awarded with a title of honored “server” and not an honored lawyer”, noted human rights activist Artur Sakunts in a talk with Mamul.am reporter.
It should be noted that on September 21, Serzh Sargsyan awarded former Chair of the RA Chamber of Advocates Ruben Sahakyan with a title of honored lawyer on the occasion of the 22nd Anniversary of RA’s independence. By A. Sakunts’ words, the ratings of Ruben Sahakyan as a lawyer are completely beyond criticism.
“Through his public approaches he did not give assessment to the legal side of the issue but to the Budaghyans. It was not an advocacy but a policy. In return for carrying out the political order, Ruben Sahakyan was awarded with a relevant title”, summed up the human rights activist.
