Trial examination of the case of the physician charged with the death of 2 children is in progress

On May 18, 2016, the General Jurisdiction Court of Armavir marz (region), presided by Vahe Khalatyan, resumed trial examination of the case of Anahit Petrosyan, Head of the Infectious Diseases Unit at Armavir Medical Center, charged with the death of young Karine Hovhannisyan and Erik Amirkhanyan.
Note that on the previous court hearing, another 2 witnesses summoned to the court by the motion of the defendant party were questioned.
At this court hearing, attorney Ani Chatinyan, representative of the victim’s successor and lawyer at HCA Vanadzor, and G. Aloyan, prosecutor supervising the examination of the case, delivered speeches.
The representatives of victim Erik Amirkhanyan’s successors stated that they would deliver a speech at the following court hearing and motioned to adjourn the hearing.
The next court hearing, at which the defense party will also deliver a speech, will be held on May 25, 2016, at 4:30 pm.
