Serzh Sargsyan and Aram Sargsyan will not be questioned under case of October 27
15:17, March 22, 2016 | News, Own news | General Prosecutor's Office of ArmeniaAs reported before, by its letter of February 9, 2016 submitted to the RA Prosecutor General’s Office, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor required that the Prosecutor General’s Office gave a legal assessment to the statement of Aram Z. Sargyan, leader of Hanrapetutyun Party, published on 1-in.am news website, according to which RA President Serzh Sargsyan possessed valuable information on the incidents of October 27, 1999. In particular, the Organization required to question Serzh Sargsyan and Aram Sargsyan.
Only over a month later, by its response letter of March 17, 2016, the RA Prosecutor General’s Office reported that in another interview to the media above, Aram Z. Sargsyan particularly noted as follows, “You know, I didn’t say that Serzh Sargsyan knew who organized the incidents of October 27. I just said that he also was not of the opinion that these incidents had no organizers.”
Based on leader of Hanrapetutyun Party A. Z. Sargsyan’s interview above, the RA General Prosecutor’s Office found the HCA Vanadzor requirement of questioning the RA President and Aram Sargsyan to be groundless, since Aram Sargsyan’s above statement alleged that Serzh Sargsyan had just expressed an opinion.
Note that on January 11, 2016, www.1in.am website published the interview of Aram Sargsyan /patronymic: Zaven/, leader of Hanrapetutyun Party, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia where he particularly noted, “….I wished to understand where the causes of blood shed on October 27 came from, from the outside or inside? As Serzh Sargsyan confessed to me that it was all organized and that one day he would tell me who organized it all, let him say, I’m waiting for his answer.”
Instead of giving relevant instructions on investigative actions to question Serzh Sargsyan and Aram Sargsyan and issuing an opinion only based on the data obtained through such questioning, the RA Prosecutor General’s Office confines itself to making assumptions.
Hence, the RA General Prosecutor’s Office obviously makes no efforts to conduct an investigation to detect the organizers of the terrorist act at the RA National Assembly of October 27, 1999.
