The Ministry of Defense has no intentions to declassify the manual on military service restrictions
16:51, December 1, 2017 | News, Own news | Freedom of Information and Speech, Rights of Soldiers/Recruits | Armed ForcesOn November 30, 2017 within the framework of the hearing before the RA Administrative Court in regard to the claim of receiving a copy of the manual on military service restrictions it became clear that the RA Ministry of Defense had not published the manual in the system of arlis.am. Although during the previous court hearing the representative of the RA Ministry of Defense had declared that the manual would be declassified and made available in August in the system of arlis.am in the form of an appendix to the RA Ministry of Defense decree of 04.08.2013.
It should be reminded that with the submitted claim, HCA Vanadzor demanded the copy of the manual on the description of military service restrictions as well as the restrictions on the permitted physical exercise and the appointment of military ranks. This manual, which The Ministry of Defense considered a state secret, was approved by the decree passed by the RA Armed Forces Chief of the General Staff on January 15, 2014.
The Court is to pronounce the judgment at 5.30 pm on December 21, 2017.
