Statement: Young men with health problems subjected to recruitment

RA Ministry of Defense continually violates the rights of conscripts. Conscripts and their parents from different regions of Armenia continue to call regarding issues related to the recruitment of young men with health problems.
Once again, RA Ministry of Defense and its inferior subdivisions continue taking illegal action during the whole process of recruitment by recruiting people with health problems into RA Armed Forces.
Moreover, they, by all means, try to ignore the calls regarding the health issues; overlook the medical conclusions about health conditions provided by the medical committees; neglect the possible progression of serious illnesses of young people and they recognize the young men as fit for the military service.
During 2014-2015 winter recruitment period a number of violations have been registered.
The results of evaluation of the health conditions carried out on the bases of the medical documentation provided by the conscripts who referred to the organization indicate that the majority of health problems they have do not allow them serving in the army.
Meanwhile, during this whole period even the conclusions of medical committees have been ignored.
