On June 3, 2013 the relatives of cadet Sipan Movsisyan, who died as a result of gunshot injury in RA MoD Military Institute named after Vazgen Sargsyan, told certain details over the case to the staff members of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor.
By the words of Sipan Movsisyan’s relatives, the incident of took place on the night of June 1, 2013. The relatives were notified of the incident via the phone from Military Institute named after Vazgen Sargsyan on June 2. Sipan’s uncle couldn’t even remember when exactly they were informed of the case. The relatives didn’t reveal the causes leading to the incident. His uncle only informed that the corpse was delivered in the evening of June 2.
His mourning mother was telling how Sipan, wounded by his fellow serviceman, approached the Captain bleeding and begged him to save his life. According to him, the Captain immediately called the Ambulance, but as a result of vein damage and blood loss it was impossible to save the life of 20-year old Sipan.
Sipan used to live in a wagon-house with his mother, grandmother and 2 brothers in poor social conditions. One of Sipan’s bothers currently serves in Nagorno Karabakh.
