Views of the RA Defense Ministry on the Report ‘Human Rights Situation in the RA Armed Forces in 2013’

On May 26, 2014, the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor published its Report on the HUMAN RIGHTS SITUATION IN THE ARMED FORCES IN 2013 featuring the issues identified in course of protecting the rights of the conscripts of the summer and winter call-ups of 2013 and providing legal aid to the early discharged officers; description and comparative statistics of the death cases in 2010-2013; as well as issues identified in course of preliminary investigation and proceedings of the criminal cases on death cases in the armed forces and the amendments in the legislation on military service and call-ups and related issues.
The RA Defense Ministry expressed its own views on the issues featured in the Report. The views above are presented hereby.
