Statement of Murdered Lieutenant Artak Nazaryan’s Mother
13:39, January 30, 2013 | Announcements | Right to Life, Rights of Soldiers/Recruits | Armed ForcesThere is no justice in Armenia. It is embedded thousands of kilometers deep beneath the earth’s surface, under a thick magma layer. A devastating earthquake can only push the justice out. There is no justice, but there are Ministries and Ministers of Justice. There is a need for adjustments regarding the aforementioned terms and rename them as Ministers and Ministry of Injustice.
There are no courts; instead, we have buildings, where people, dressed in Judge’s robe, do their utmost to exempt the real murderers not only from life sentence but also from 15-20 years of confinement. There is no supremacy of law, but there are various Codes, even, including a Judicial Code, which is not of any use at all. If the Judge is independent, it means he is independent of laws, and in a given situation he can alter any law in conformity with his disposition, resolutely turn down any motion without considering its significance for the revelation of a crime.
Nevertheless … what am I saying? There are no revealed crimes, it is quite vivid for everyone, otherwise, why should Judges and Prosecutors try to jointly make efforts to conceal the crimes and bring up versions of a false suicide. The President, who is well aware of our numerous protest actions, did not take any measures to reduce or stop the number of deliberate murders in the Army. None of the murderers was brought up to liability. Migration from Armenia is increasing as the time goes by. They leave the country to save their sons from today’s mass carnage. None of the state and legal systems in Armenia functions. I have the impression that we live in a puppet theatre area, where puppets are being played by one person. Moreover, the Constitution is null and void and the Constitutional Court is nothing more than a Court of Appeals. It is quite evident that there will be no justice under the rule of the current power today. As in all times, the burden of pushing it out from beneath of the thick layer of magma lies on the shoulders of a group of devotees, who love their motherland and share its pain. Therefore, let us be that devoted earthquake to push out the lava from beneath the earth surface as a powerful volcano and wipe Armenia and the Armenians with purifying fire and transform it into a cradle of justice.
I, as a devoted Armenian woman and a mother, whose son was torn apart by the vicious system, which still continues its carnage, declare and urge you, my compassionate and reasonable compatriots, to refuse voting for today’s ruling power, which drives Armenia to the very bottom of the abyss by the order of its president. Thus, don’t forget that constant dripping wears away a stone. Let us each become the dropping water to wear away the stone.
