Human rights activist Artur Sakunts, Chairman of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor, also came to the airport to meet opposition MP Zaruhi Postanjyan and express his support.
“Of course, whatever there was on the part of the “patriotic groups” is a great disgrace, but those confidential letter writers that write to Zarhuhi using foul language don’t even dare to show their faces. If they have something to say, let them come and say”, he noted in a talk with journalists.
According to Artur Sakunts, Zaruhi Postanjyan raised a very to the point question in the PACE and nobody is entitled to initiate an encroachment against her for expressing her opinion, or moreover, to threaten, “In fact, Zara didn’t say anything new, besides, she clearly stated she didn’t recognize him as the president and her questions wasn’t addressed to the president”.
To the remark of “1in. am” that Postanjyan couldn’t prove her statement, the human rights defender replied, “It was disseminated through media outlets that Viktor Dalakyan, Serzh Sargsyan’s personal representative in the National Assembly, once mentioned about it and I don’t think he would state things out of nowhere”.
