11:00, August 24, 2015 | News, Own newsJuly 24, 2015 marked a working discussion on the Action Plan of the National Strategy on Human Rights Protection. The discussion was attended by the representatives of the RA ministries, government agencies, international organizations and civil society representatives. During the discussion, the executive agencies responsible for implementing the Action Plan presented the results thereof in the reporting period. They also raised the issues rendering it impossible to take a number of actions. Such obstacles were caused by both financial and organizational factors. Also, the issue of indefinite and immeasurable wording of the actions covered in the Plan was discussed. The international organizations put forward some recommendations on the Action Plan for the National Strategy on Human Rights Protection to be developed for the period of 2016-2017. Particularly, they stressed the necessity to include in the future an action to ensure the exercise of the right to food, given the actual poverty/neediness level in the RA. A number of international organizations expressed their willingness to assist with the issues related to education, youth employment, disability, non-discrimination and a series of other areas. The HCA Vanadzor monitored the Action Plan and accordingly conducted a study on the implementation of the Action Plan of the National Strategy for the Protection of Human Rights. The preliminary results of the study were presented to the participants. The Chairman of the Organization invited their attention to the issues below: inefficient actions taken by the responsible agencies, lack of information on the financial resources required for each action, etc. Also see the Reference on the Implementation of the Action Plan of the National Strategy for Human Rights Protection.
