More than 70 young lawyers trained under ‘Vanadzor Legal Clinic’ Project since 2013
12:45, April 19, 2017 | News, Own newsThe graduates of the fourth ‘Vanadzor Legal Clinic’ Project launched in 2016 by Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor with the financial support of the Norwegian Helsinki Committee received graduation certificates.
At the next-in-turn stage of the Project, 17 young lawyers, i.e. students and graduates of Vanadzor higher educational institutions were trained.
Highlighting the spread of human rights and democratic values among young people in frames of the Project, HCA Vanadzor has trained over 70 young lawyers since 2013, some of them successfully apply the knowledge and skills they gained in their professional activity. Two of the Project participants currently are a part of HCA Vanadzor’s staff.
‘Legal Clinic’ Project provides its participants with theoretical and practical knowledge on human rights and their protection mechanisms and makes it possible to apply them in practice by joining various projects and the observation mission carried out by HCA Vanadzor.
The 5th stage of the Project, ‘Vanadzor Legal Clinic-2017’ has already started.
For the first time, HCA Vanadzor, with the support of the Open Society Foundations-Armenia, will also conduct ‘Legal Clinic’ Project at Armavir Youth Civic Center for local lawyers and the project has already launched.
