Investigative body’s decision on fight with Anzor Karapetyan to be reviewed; the court undertook to eliminate violation of victim’s rights

Today, the General Jurisdiction Court of Armavir Marz (region), that carried out examination of the complaint of Ani Chatinyan, lawyer at HCA Vanadzor and representative of victim’s successor, on annulling the decree of Armavir Marz (region) Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee of April 26, 2016 on discontinuing the criminal proceedings on the case and not prosecuting the other persons involved in the fight with Anzor Karapetyan, announced its ruling fully granting the complaint.
The Court first examined the criminal case materials received from the RA Investigative Committee and then left to the retiring room to make a ruling and by its ruling announced later compelled the investigative body to stop violations of the victim’s rights and freedoms.
Note that the appeal against the first instance court’s ruling on rejecting the aggrieved party’s complaint on annulling the decree of Armavir Marz (region) Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee of April 26, 2016 was granted and the case was sent to the first instance court for re-examination by the court in another composition.
