Due to public defenders’ failure to attend court hearings, examination of Sari Tagh district protester’s case is postponed for already 4th time
10:53, February 11, 2017 | News, Own news | Sasna TsrerOn February 10, 2017 the General Jurisdiction Court of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts scheduled the next-in-turn court hearing on the case of Sari Tagh protest participants Hrachya Boyajyan, Arman Adamyan and Zhora Avetisyan.
The latter’s defense counsel Lyudwig Avetisyan, however, did not attend the court hearing and for that reason the hearing was postponed again and scheduled for March 2, 2017, at 12:30 pm.
It is already the 4th time that the examination of the case has been postponed due to the public defenders’ failure to attend the court hearing.
The protesters were charged under Article 316(2) of the RA Criminal Code (violence against police officers: throwing at them stones and other items).
Hrachya Boyajyan’s interests are represented by Arayik Zalyan, lawyer at HCA Vanadzor.
