Court hearing again postponed to receive Anzor Karapetyan’s case materials from the Investigative Committee

Today, the General Jurisdiction Court of Armavir marz (region) was to hold a next-in-turn court hearing under the examination of the complaint of Ani Chatinyan, lawyer at HCA Vanadzor and representative of victim’s successor on annulling the decree of Armavir Marz (region) Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee of April 26, 2016 on discontinuing the criminal proceedings on the case and not prosecuting the other persons involved in the fight with Anzor Karapetyan.
The Court had not got the case materials from the Investigative Committee yet and the court hearing was postponed again for the same reason.
The next court hearing will be held on May 17, 2017, at 11: 30 am.
Note that the proceedings of the case on the fight with Anzor Karapetyan involved of December 31, 2015 in Armavir town, under which A. Karapetyan was declared victim, was discontinued by the decree of April 26, 2016.
As a result of appealing the investigative body’s decision first to higher authorities and then before a court of law, on November 4, 2016 the General Jurisdiction Court of Armavir Marz (region) rejected it and the Court of Appeals granted the aggrieved party’s appeal against the first instance court’s ruling and sent the case to the court of first instance for re-examination by the court in another composition.
