The prosecutor and the aggrieved party demand to temporarily deprive the defendants in the case of young child Lia Misakyan of the right to work as a pediatrician
12:16, May 23, 2018 | News, Own news | Right to Life | Lia MisakyanToday, on May 22, 2018, the aggrieved party and the prosecuting attorney in the case of two-year-and-three-month-old Lia Misakyan, who died at Arabkir Medical Center in January 2013, delivered their closing arguments at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan.
Prosecuting Attorney G. Aghajanyan filed a motion to deprive defendants Z. Ayvazyan and L. Vardanyan of the right to work as a pediatrician for a period of three years. He mentioned that there were substantial grounds for that, and the data characterizing them that were presented to the court did not reduce to a reasonable extent the public danger that their actions posed.
The representative of the aggrieved party T. Siradeghyan, who is a lawyer at HCA Vanadzor’s representative office in Yerevan, filed a motion to deprive L. Vardanyan of the right to work as a pediatrician for a period of 3 years, and to deprive Z. Ayvazyan of the same right for a period of 2 years.
G. Hovhannisyan, the defender of defendant L. Vardanyan, filed a motion to provide the defense party time to deliver a defense speech.
The court hearing was adjourned on that ground and was scheduled for 4.00 pm on June 20, 2018.
