The Prosecutor did not have a power of attorney; the examination of the case is to be resumed on February 28
16:48, February 5, 2018 | News, Own newsToday, on February 5, 2018, the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan (Kentron residence) adjourned the examination of HCA Vanadzor’s case against the RA General Prosecutor’s Office.
Prosecutor Shahbazyan, who showed up at the court, did not have a relevant power of attorney.
The examination of the case was adjourned to 3.00 pm on February 28, 2018.
It should be recalled that HCA Vanadzor requested to oblige the RA General Prosecutor’s Office, on the grounds of the crime report in connection with the announcement made by Serzh Sargsyan on December 9, 2017, to make a decision in line with the provisions of the RA Criminal Procedure Code and provide it to the Organization.
A. Simonyan, Head of the Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes of the RA General Prosecutor’s Office, did not see any data indicating crime elements in the report submitted by HCA Vanadzor that “can serve as a basis for making a decision on checking, initiating a criminal case or rejecting the initiation of a criminal case.”
