19:56, October 30, 2017 | News, Own news | Freedom of Assembly and AssociationToday, on October 30, 2017, the RA Administrative Court was supposed to pronounce the verdict on the case of demonstrator Vahram Petrosyan.
Previously, the verdict announcement was scheduled for October 27, 2017. However, it was delayed due to the judge’s busyness.
Today the Court announced the resumption of the proceedings of the case. There is a need to examine the evidence within the frameworks of the proceedings.
The succeeding court session was scheduled for 12.00 on December 1, 2017.
It ought to be reminded that the Police of the Republic of Armenia demands bringing V. Petrosyan to justice under the requirements of Article 180.1, Points 11 and 15 of the RA Administrative Offenses Code. Yet in a counterclaim, V. Petrosyan and his representative, T. Siradeghyan, lawyer at HCA Vanadzor Representative Office in Yerevan, demand the recognition of the RA Police actions of dispersing the assembly, arresting V. Petrosyan and applying physical force as unlawful.
