22:42, April 2, 2017 | News, Own news | Electoral Rights‘Independent Observer’ Alliance observers alert that observers at polling stations 21/05 and 31/49 were denied copies of references printed from technical devices.
At polling station 21/05, they were denied such copy on the pretext that it was not prescribed by law and at polling station 31/49, the chairperson of the commission said that the device printed only 1 copy which should be submitted to the Territorial Election Commission.
In response to the observers’ demand, the chairperson of the commission denied to make a note on the incident in the register.
A crime report on the incident was submitted.
Note that according to Article 68(3) of the RA Electoral Code, a copy of the reference printed from the technical device signed by the chairperson of the territorial election commission and sealed with the commission’s seal shall be issued upon request to the candidates, observers and proxy of the parties that took part in the elections present at the wrap-up meeting.
The reference shall contain a note on the voters who were registered by entering the data in their IDs into the technical device by the keyboard.
If it is impossible to print the reference, a relevant note is made in the register.
