There are overcrowdings at polling stations
19:05, April 2, 2017 | News, Own news | Electoral RightsAccording to an observer representing ‘Independent Observer’ Alliance, starting from 11 am, there are continuous overcrowdings of voters at polling station № 25/02 in Tashir town of Lori marz (region), in the voting room and the area near the polling station, within a radius of 50 m, which obstructs the normal voting process. The observer informed of this the chairperson of the commission to take measures to solve the problem but the latter could not solve it. Also, the Organization reported the problem to the RA Police hotline (010-54-69-12).
At about 1:30 pm, the observer reported that after calling the RA Police hotline, the problem was solved for some time, but as of 1:30 pm, the situation was actually the same. The Organization again called the RA Police hotline; nevertheless, the overcrowdings of voters at polling station № 25/02 continued and the problem remained unsolved.
An application was filed with the RA Prosecutor General’s Office on taking measures to solve the problem.
