The court did not change Gagik Mikayelyan’s preventive measure

On September 2, 2016, the General Jurisdiction Court of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts, having considered the motion of attorney Ani Chatinyan, lawyer at HCA Vanadzor and G. Mikayelyan’s representative, dismissed it. The Court supported its ruling by the degree of danger of the offense and the period of the sentence prescribed for it.
Note that Gagik Mikayelyan was detained on charges of committing violence against police officers during the mass riots after the seizure of the Guard and Patrol Service regiment of the RA Police by ‘Sasna Tsrer’ group on July 17, 2016.
