Military Serviceman Harutyun Hambaryan Served in NKR Martakert Region

Today, on May 11, 2015, the liturgy ceremony at Surb Asdvadzamor Church (Church of Our Lady) in Lori Marz (Region) Arevashogh village was followed by the funeral of Harutyun Hambaryan who had died at the NKR Martakert military unit on May 8, 2015.
The HCA Vanadzor staff members visited the village to find out the details of the incident. Though they could not talk to the family of the late serviceman, 2 fellow villagers said that Harutyun Hambaryan used to live with his parents and sisters. As for the details of the incident, the villager who talked to the HCA Vanadzor staff said that he had learnt them from television broadcasts. According to him, no one in the village had any information on the details of the incident as of the date.
According to preliminary data reported by the media, the serviceman died of a gunshot wound in his forehead area from an AKMS automatic assault rifle registered in his name. The Third Garrison Investigation Department under the RA Investigation Committee Military Criminal Cases Department initiated a criminal case under Article 110(1) of the RA Criminal Code. A part of the dead serviceman’s head (from the peak to the back of the head) was bandaged. The HCA Vanadzor staff extend their sincere condolences to the family and relatives of H. Hambaryan.
