Legal Clinic-2 Project Completed
14:32, May 14, 2015 | News, Own newsMarch 1, 2015 marked the end of the Legal Clinic-2 Project launched back on September 1, 2014 by the HCA Vanadzor and Populex law firm and funded by the American Bar Association. The Project had a total of 13 participants: law students and recent graduates of higher educational institutions in Vanadzor. Under the Project, the participants were offered 24 thematic trainings on the national and international mechanisms of human rights protection. The trainings were facilitated by lawyer Karen Tumanyan, Head of Populex law firm, Arayik Zalyan, Legal Department Coordinator at HCA Vanadzor and Artur Harutyunyan, lawyer at the HCA Vanadzor mission in Spitak. The trainings held under the project were followed by practical activities, and Arayik Zalyan and Karen Tumanyan were selected as facilitators of such activities. Throughout the practical activities, the lawyers involved in the Project learnt how to provide legal advice and then provided such advice independently and drafted relevant legal documents.
Today, on May 13, 2015, the HCA Vanadzor hosted a final meeting of the Project participants, donors and the Project implementation team. At the meeting, the participants shared what they gained from the Project, pointed out its strengths and weaknesses and suggested some changes they would like to see in the following projects. At the end of the meeting, the Project participants and trainers were awarded certificates of participation.
