RA National Security Service Provides Incomplete Answers
19:34, June 16, 2015 | News, Own newsOn May 29, 2015, the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor sent an inquiry to the Head of the RA National Security Service on reasons, grounds and legal documents underlying the denied entry of Coordinator of the Armenian Revival organization office in Paris, Founding Parliament member Shant Voskerchyan (Jean Baptist Ozkirisyan) to the Republic of Armenia. By its response letter of June 5, 2015, the Armenian National Security Service stated that Shant Voskerchyan (Jean Baptist Ozkirisyan) was denied entry in the Republic of Armenia under Article 8 of the RA Law on Foreigners, with no mention of any particular paragraph or part of the Article. The Article pointed by the RA National Security Service covers paragraphs on denying foreigners Republic of Armenia visa (extension), declaring a visa as void or denying entry; however, the National Security Service failed to specify the paragraph of this Article under which Shant Voskerchyan (Jean Baptist Ozkirisyan) was denied entry to the RA. Based on the fact that the National Security Service submitted an incomplete answer, the HCA Vanadzor intends to file further inquiries to the RA NSS.
