The fact that Bazmaser Arakelyan and his supporters beat a person from Parpi village was denied; no criminal proceedings will be initiated

Specifically, the Organization requested information on the conflict between the representatives of ‘Prosperous Armenia’ (‘Bargavatch Hayastan’) and Republican Party of Armenia on forrights.am news website on March 1, 2017 and incidents of beating by RA NA deputy Bazmaser Arakelyan’s supporters of a Parpi village resident on February 26, 2017 as described on aravot.am.
Note that according to the media, the conflict between the representatives of ‘Prosperous Armenia’ and Republican Party of Armenia resulted in stabbing Aram Adamyan, a ‘Prosperous Armenia’ representative nominated by rating system as candidate to National Assembly in the coming parliamentary elections. The fact that he sustained injuries was confirmed by Masis hospital and Naira Zohrabyan, head of ‘Prosperous Armenia’ NA faction, said that he was stabbed by a Republican Party representative.
Some time before, RA NA deputy Bazmaser Arakelyan was in the focus of a similar incident; according to aravot.am news website, his supporters invited to the deputy’s place a person from Parpi village and as they learnt that he was going to vote for the ‘Armenian Revolutionary Party’, beat him severely and then attacked on his brother.
The said incidents were also reported on yerkirmedia.am and lragir.am news websites.
The RA Prosecutor General’s Office responded that criminal proceedings were initiated on the incident of stabbing and as for the fact that Bazmaser Arakelyan and his supporters beat a Parpi village resident, it was not established and therefore criminal proceedings were not initiated.
