Counter-claim to be filed under protester Vahram Petrosyan’s case

Harutyunyan, held a pre-trial court hearing to examine the claim of the RA Police against Vahram Petrosyan who took part in the assembly held before the examination of the motion on extending Gevorg Safaryan’s detention on March 23, 2016.
By its claim submitted to the Court, the RA Police demanded that V. Petrosyan was brought to administrative responsibility under Article 180.1(11 and 15) of the RA Code of Administrative Offences.
The pre-trial court hearing was attended by Sona Melikyan, representative of plaintiff RA Police and Senior Legal Adviser to Kentron Division of RA Police Yerevan city Department, and defendant V. Petrosyan’s representative Tatevik Siradeghyan, lawyer at Yerevan Office of HCA Vanadzor.
The court stated that the counter-claim filed by the defendant was returned and T. Siradeghyan was provided with a relevant court ruling. She said that after looking through the court ruling the defendant party wished to use the opportunity of eliminating the omissions conditioned by the lack of evidence of the property status attached to the motion on exemption from the state duty or postponing its payment and submitting the motion to the court again within the terms set by law and therefore motioned that the court hearing was postponed.
The court hearing was postponed. The next court hearing was scheduled for March 27, 2017, at 2:30 pm.
Note that the assembly participant were apprehended by force and taken to Kentron Division of RA Police Yerevan city Department, where they were subjected to administrative proceedings for failure to meet the legitimate demands of the police on ensuring the peaceful and normal course of the assembly. By its claim submitted to the Court later, the RA Police demanded that V. Petrosyan was brought to administrative responsibility under Article 180.1(11 and 15) of the RA Code of Administrative Offences.
